Advanced Supplemental Therapies

Advanced Supplemental Therapies is owned and operated by a pioneer in the research and development of enzyme products. Since 1985, we have developed products for many industries. Now we are making some exciting new products available to the public.

EXCLZYME® 2AF

EXCLZYME® 2AF is a concentrated systemic enzyme blend of several powerful protease enzymes. These enzymes are not derived from an animal source and, as such, are suitable for vegetarians. EXCLZYME® 2AF contains a proprietary blend of fungal proteases, Bromelain, Papain and Peptizyme SP® EN. Peptizyme SP® EN is an enteric coated serrapeptase derived from Serratia spp. E-1. Peptizyme SP® EN possesses greater caseinolytic (fibrinolytic) activity than any other known alkaline or neutral protease. Its fibrinolytic activity is greater even than the very expensive trypsin and chymotrypsin.

Exclzyme® 2AF also contains the enzymes Amylase and Lipase. The addition of a natural gooseberry called Amla and Rutin provide additional support to the enzymatic activity.

BACKGROUND

Enzymes are ubiquitous in living organisms, and perform a wide variety of regulatory and functional roles in cellular processes. Proteases are no exception, and are particularly effective in repair and healing processes. While proteases are often used to improve digestion and blood circulation, research has shown the blend in Exclzyme® EN to be useful in reducing pain and inflammation in joints.1-5 In addition, this same research demonstrates that Exclzyme® EN also possesses significant activity in the inhibition of C-Reactive Protein.1

FEATURES

  • Proteases digest and deactivate proteins that block normal healing
  • Inactivate bradykinin peptides (reduce pain and prevent progression);
  • Reduce viscosity of extracellular fluid (reduce edema);
  • Reduce blood viscosity by maintaining healthy fibrin levels
  • Induce molecular debridement (removal of necrotic tissue and proteins, reduce edema);

RESEARCH

A University of Maine clinical double-blind study with Exclzym® was conducted in 2003. The results clearly demonstrate its efficacy for most symptoms associated with joint problems including fatigue, soreness, discomfort and swelling.1

Further, Exclzyme® showed a significant inhibition of C-Reactive Protein, a recognized marker for inflammation. This trial supports the product’s efficacy with both subjective and objective end-points.1
There appears to be no drawbacks to this product with respect to safety as determined by this trial. Furthermore, the active ingredients have a long medical history of use and are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the USDA.
